When I gained my first professional experience 10 years ago, I assisted two photographers

in New York's SoHo district. Many Japanese, Chinese, Canadian, Alaskan as well as American, Mexican and other exciting cultures met there in a loft and realised creative projects. Everyone understood only one main language. It was a colourful togetherness. No one could pronounce my real name. In Germany it is quite practicable and very common, but abroad it is difficult to pronounce correctly. At some point someone shouted very loudly across the room: "Miss Baker"

or "Ma Baker" pronounced in English:

[ˈbeɪkər].

Everyone laughed. I smiled. It was liked. Somehow I thought it was pretty cool straight away

and invented a creative stage name with my colleagues from overseas. I remember this creative, very active time back.

Among other things, there are streets in some places in the world called bakerstreet. This has all kinds of cultural roots and historical reasons. I had the great luck to pass them by chance in a similar time period. They inspired me. So the next thought came to me along with a philosophical play on words:

I call my office, - my street where I like to create: bakerstreet. Everyone is welcome here who has a desire for creative exchange and communicates responsibly. Everything is interconnected and timeless. I continue to cultivate the good German language in a local space.
